Outstanding performances by some of the best chasers around set the stage to Night 1 of the Sportsbet Australian Cup Carnival at The Meadows with heats of the Group 1 Australian Cup (525m) decided with Hector Fawley setting the pace.
Explicit and Valpolicella claimed the first Group 1’s of the carnival winning the G1 Temlee (525m) and G1 Zoom Top (730m).
