The Group 1 Newcastle Herald National Derby was won amid jubilant scenes at Betchoice Gardens on Friday night with the Sid Swain trained Sure As ($5.90) claiming honours in a sizzling 29.45s. While the Futurity was taken out by Midnight Capers in 29.55 for Rose Pringle.
