WA All Stars Sprint
Vocal Enforcer storms home to win Solo All Stars
31 October 2011

Vocal Enforcer (Black Enforcer-She’s Vocal) scored a brilliant come from behind win over Not In Kansas in the Group 2 Solo All Stars Sprint final.
The tough and honest dog was bred and raced by Peta and Rod Noden and has now won over $127,000 in stakes in 36 career starts in which he has this year finished second in the Group 2 WA Derby and also WA Sprint championship among many feature finals in 2011.
He also won the Puppy Classic earlier in the year. Not In Kansas led from box one and short priced favourite Miata was checked out to last on the first corner while Vocal Enforcer ($10.10) settled 8 lengths off the leader.
Coming to the home corner Not In Kansas ($4.50) looked like he was going to add the feature final to his owners cabinet, however Vocal Enforcer had other ideas and claimed the leader in the shadows of the post in a brilliant victory.
Third home was Blue Goose ($17.00) early sections set by leader Not In Kanas were 5.64, 13.25 and 18.62 with an overall winning time for Vocal Enforcer of 30.34.
The Group 2 win is likely to see Vocal Enforcer firm in calculations for the 2011 WA Greyhound of the Year award.
It will be interesting to see if Andrew McLaren takes up the option of a Melbourne Cup start with Vocal Enforcer, now his charge is eligible for a start in the heats on November 10.
It’s not every day you get a walk up start for a crack at a major Group 1 carrying the prestige and glory of a race like the Melbourne Cup not to mention a first prize of $200,000 should you make it through to the final on November 17.
Vocal Enforcer is a Black dog whelped February 2009 by Black Enforcer from She’s Vocal (Surf Lorian x Baylene) he is raced by Peta & Rod Norden.
